Artixels releases Resonance for Nuke

Artixels has released Resonance, a new VFX plugin for Nuke intended “for look dev and abstract effects purposes” (think caustics and organic patterns, essentially).

Resonance’s selling points are its intuitive control system – you create effects by dragging elements in a HUD, rather than keying in numerical parameters – and responsiveness.

According to Artixels, “there is no inter-frame dependency of Resonance outputs [so] users are always free to scrub through the timeline” – as illustrated by the video above, captured live from a standard MacBook Pro.

Resonance 1.0 is available for Nuke 7.0v8+ and Nuke 8.0v1+ on 64-bit Windows 7 and Mac OS X. A single node-locked licence costs $129.
