Andersson Technologies releases SynthEyes 1311

SynthEyes 1311 adds a new 3D planar tracker to the match-moving software. See more videos of the new features in the update on developer Andersson Technologies’ YouTube channel.

Andersson Technologies has released SynthEyes 1311, the latest update to its match-moving software, adding a 3D planar tracker intended to make it easier to add simple 3D effects to suitable visual effects shots.

According to the press release, the tracker has “both 2- and 3-D modes, detail modes, lighting compensation, and channel select controls. Occlusion and shape masking options include auto-mask, roto-mask, in-plane masks, alpha-mask, and layer stacking. The 3-D planar tracker can accept on-set measurements for real-world scaling, and integrates with the main SynthEyes solver as well.”

New After Effects export options, better scripting support for Pro users
Other new features in SynthEyes 1311 include a ‘Run Now’ option for After Effects exports that opens them in AE automatically; texture extraction improvements, especially where different parts of the mesh are exposed throughout the shot; motion blur in preview movies; and ASF, MP4, and WMV writing from 64-bit Windows.

Users of the Pro edition of the software also get “Python and extreme Sizzle scripting”.

SynthEyes 1311 is available now for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. The update is free to users with active support contracts. Pricing for new licenses has been reduced: the Intro edition now costs $299, the Windows and Mac versions of the Pro edition $499, the Linux version $549, and the cross-platform version $649.
