Eye candy: Pysop’s work on Wolfenstein: The New Order

Psyop is probably best known for its colourful, playful commercials work, but the studio can do gritty and realistic when it needs – and its launch trailer for Wolfenstein: The New Order is certainly one of those things.

With the action taking place into near-darkness, occasionally broken by puffs of steam and showers of sparks, the teaser certainly ticks the ‘gritty’ box on any modern first-person shooter’s marketing checklist.

But realistic? With the payoff shot consisting of lone hero B.J. Blazkowicz facing down cyber-Nazis in future London… in heavy rain… to the strains of Jimi Hendrix… uh, probably not so much. Nice visuals, though.

Developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda Softworks, Wolfenstein: The New Order is due out later this year on PC, PS3 and 4 and Xbox 360.
