Eye Candy: Disney debuts first Lone Ranger trailer

Disney has had a rocky start to 2012 with John Carter becoming one of the biggest flops of all time. Even their last gamble before that, Tron: Legacy, failed to pull in the numbers they were hoping for. Now they are back with the gritty re-imagining of the western classic, The Lone Ranger. It has been quite some time since I’ve seen a well done western and I hope maybe they will do it right. This trailer doesn’t give much information about our hero and even without Tim Burton directing, we can’t seem to escape the Johnny Depp/Helena Bonham Carter pairing.  You can judge for yourself and watch the debut trailer below!
