An overview of particleIllusion for After Effects. GenArts has just relased new versions of the high-speed 2D particle-generation tool for Nuke and Sony Vegas, complementing the existing standalone edition.
GenArts has released particleIllusion for Nuke, a new version of its 2D particle effects tool for The Foundry’s industry-standard compositing package.
particleIllusion was previously available as a plugin for After Effects or a standalone edition, the latter used on movies including Sin City, Hellboy and Van Helsing.
The tool offers a fast-rendering alternative to 3D particle systems, with over 3,000 preset effects. A new version for Sony’s Vegas editing software is also available.
particleIllusion for Nuke is available now for Nuke 6.3+ on Windows and Mac OS X. It costs $299.
