Download four free 3ds Max particle tools

Anselm von Seherr-Thoss’ making-of video for a recent HTC commercial. Four of the former Frantic Films TD’s pre-built 3ds Max particle systems and tools now can be downloaded for free from xoio’s resources site xoio-air.

Architectural visualisation studio xoio has been putting out some great free resources through its xoio-air website recently, but most of them have been aimed at artists creating similar work.

But now the visual effects community can get in on the action, thanks to its release of four 3ds Max PFlow particle set-ups and tools created by former Frantic Films TD Anselm von Seherr-Thoss.

The tools comprise templates for morphing particles from one shape to another and growing grass; a collection of pre-built debris for explosions; and an 8-bit styliser, to recreate to look of old videogames in 3D.

xoio has also posted an interview with Seherr-Thoss himself, which you can find via the link below.
