Thinkbox releases 70 minutes of Krakatoa training

The first of seven Krakatoa training videos available via Thinkbox Software’s website.

Thinkbox Software has released 70 minutes of free video training for Krakatoa MX 2, its volumetric particle renderer and render-management toolkit for 3ds Max.

The footage, which was recorded as part of a user webinar last week, is now available for offline viewing on the company’s website.

The videos cover best practices for using the software – which is less entry-level than it sounds.

In the first chapter, Thinkbox’s Borislav ‘Bobo’ Petrov reveals that experienced Krakatoa users often choose the most labour-intensive method even when simply assigning the renderer in 3ds Max.
