CVMP conference issues final call for papers

Our friends at the CVMP conference have issued a final call for papers for this year’s event.

The closing deadline for submissions is 11 June 26 June. Students submitting research are eligible for a £2,000 prize for best paper, provided by Google.

The official blurb is as follows:

Date: 5th & 6th December
Venue: Vue, Leicester Square, London
Call for Papers deadline: 11th June 2012 [Now updated to 26 June]

Google sponsored Best Student Paper prize £2,000.

CVMP is held in cooperation with ACM SIGGRAPH, ACM SIGMM and Eurographics. CVMP papers will be published by ACM as part of their International Conference Proceedings Series. The top 10% of accepted papers at CVMP 2012 will be invited to submit extended papers to IEEE Transactions on Multimedia.

Due to last year’s demand we have moved to a new bigger venue – The Vue, Leicester Square. We will be having more demonstrations and the same high-calibre speakers.

The conference itself takes place in December, and offers a nice mix of new research and more artist-focused presentations. This year’s keynote speakers include Zoic’s Mike Romey, one of the minds behind for the studio’s headline-grabbing ZEUS virtual production system.
