I'd like to comment sentence "Besides the touch sensitivity, there isn’t much practical difference between the Intuos5 and the Intuos4" .

Initially when reading articles / reviews about Intuos5 tablets, I noticed that none of the reviews mentioned wear of surface sheet. To my surprise sheet is no longer user changeable, if I've gotten correct information.

From wacom forum (http://forum.wacom.eu/viewtopic.php?t=9237&p=38104): "The surface can be replaced, but because of the integrated touch electronics you cannot do that yourself. However, we will offer that as a service at a nominal fee"

I think that is an issue, earlier it was easy to just order new sheets, now you have to send your tablet away and have a backup meanwhile. IMO tips seem to wear quicker than with intuos4, though surface does seem bit different/smoother compared to intuos4. I'm using soft pressure.

I just got one yesterday and I had been using an Intuos4 since it came out, so far i think the nibs will definitely not wear down as quickly and on the 4, that was such a mess. I do really like the feature to easily turn on and off the touch controls on the active area seeing as i always reach over it to type and i kept scrolling and rotating things while trying to type! Everything seems to be really awesome about the five so far, I am really excited for the option to switch to wireless!

A major gripe by many artists regarding the Intuos 4 was that the pen nibs would wear out much faster because of the 'paper-like' rough draw surface. Does the Intuos 5 also include the rough draw surface?
