Tommy,
Very nice review and I am so happy that I found your review. I am trying to find a system to support Photoshop CS6. Would Z210 be efficient?
Thanks..

Jason, I'm looking for a computer with high performance to be able to render in programs such as 3ds max and Revit Architecture. I am currently looking at HPE h9-1270t series, and the spec are as following:
Processor: 2nd Generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3930K six-core processor [3.2GHz, Shared 12MB Cache]
Memory : 16GB DDR3-1333MHz SDRAM [4 DIMMs]
Graphics card:3GB Nvidia GeForce GT640 [DVI, HDMI and VGA via adapter]
HeatSink: Liquid Cooling Solution

So, would this a better performance computer or should I go with Z210? or Z820?
I really don't know much about PCs...

My question to You: Do You know the size/ formfactor of the mainboard, I really have tried to find it out by my own, but couldn´t get the information. Kind regards from Vienna (Europe)

To Mohammad: The high-end Geforce cards can be faster than a Quadro 2000, but Quadro Cards are certified to run your DCC apps with much higher stability, were a GeForce or Radeon Card will run DCC apps with moderate - high level of glitches and bugs depending on the program that you are using. With Pro Cards, you are paying for the stability & support, were as the consumer cards will run most DCC apps, but when you have problems, you usually won't get any help from either the hardware or software vendors.

To Danny: Hey Danny, sorry for the delay in responding. I have not looked at the Z420 yet, but the Z400 was a solid system, so I'm sure the Z420 will be at least as good if not better. I would sink a little extra money into the CPU and graphics card over the base specs. I'm not sure what the base specs are for the Z420, but if you can afford it, I would go with a 6-core CPU ( any speed 2.4 GHZ or over will be fine ) and either a FirePro V5900 or V7900, or an Nvidia Quadro 4000 or higher. Also, 8 GB of RAM should be the minimum these days for any serious CG projects. Hope this helps. Jason

To Danny: The Z210 system should be a solid performer for your needs. It will tackle modeling, Photoshop / Illustrating just fine. Should handle video fine as well as long as you are remaining within the realm of regular HD resolutions ( 720p & 1080p ). If you are looking to work with 4k and up resolutions, you might want to consider something more high-end with a lot more RAM. The z210 will also perform with the best of stoack quad-core CPUs for rendering performance ( although it is a Xeon CPU, so no over-clocking options ), however, if rendering is going to be a main focus ( especially for print where the rendering need to be pretty high res, 4K and up ) you may want to consider spending a little more on either a system with a 6 - core chip, or perhaps one with a pair of slower Quad-core or 6-core CPUs. ( 2 quad-core CPUs running at let's say 2.4 GHZ will render considerably faster than a single Quad-core running at 3.4 GHZ ) Hope this helps!
