Autodesks desire to increase sales hopefully will move it to a 3d max for the mac. How can PC software designs be developed for the iPad which is where the future interactive sales are where one uses indesign with 3d? so you make a project with max on the pc. How do you get it over to the PC. I love Max modeling tools just as I like Mayas animation tools.

Nice to see them addressing issues they should have fixed years ago. I myself and gradually moving towards Side FX Houdini, they dont sell beta builds to their customers but release a product worthy of the cost.
Not to mention Autodesk have not innovated anything in years, they just buy plugins from 3rd party devs and cram it into a new build every year.

Please save the resources for a stupid MAC version and build more great fetures !!! Every Mac can run Windows, they have already no problem to run. And I don´t know any serious VFX company which run MAC in the 3D department. Do you know how old and slow MAC Pros compared to fast new DELL or HP machines ? Apple is a toy company for gamepads and phones, they don´t care about Workstastions anymore. There are rumors that there will be no new MAC pro ! What do you want, running max on a iMac ? Please save this waste of time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

im sorry but i feel autodesk should either sell maya and softimage off and stop holding on to them, or focus on them as much as they are focusing on 3ds max. you would think after pulling off a big buy out of the top 3d applications and (attempting) to implement similar technology into 3ds max they would have reduced the need for hotfixes and sat - small annoying things builds.

Pretty amazing that 3DS max releases are just playing catch-up and bug fixes these days. Instead of max 2013, perhaps keep fixing the abortion that is 2012...

Wow what an angry Meat puppet :) I don't think you understand that the way 3d software handles files is much different then the way video is handled. Different softwares use different algorithms, not even talking about textures or particle flow.

Also, for the Mac users Autodesk is offering Maya, this is a great software with the purpose very similar to 3ds Max.

How about they get the balls to do what Adobe did with premiere and build max to run on a stable OS and have drag and drop functionality between other 3d products? You know when the old premiere teem said they couldn't do it they were fired. They hired new people who could do it and had it out in less then 2 years. How's that for a fix? Get off your ass, fire the naysayers and give us a MAC or LINUX 3DS MAX FOR GOD"S SAKE!!!!
