Eye candy: Vorare

Vorare, Tobias Szabo’s stylised fable of greed and ecological destruction.

There have been some excellent student shorts released online this week, including two from the perennially excellent French schools Supinfocom and ESMA.

But our attention was caught by an animation from a college we know almost nothing about: Nürnberg’s Georg-Simon-Ohm-Fachhochschule – and it’s essentially a one-person effort.

Tobias Szabo’s Vorare is a neat little fable about greed and destruction with a nicely stylised look, and an effectively jittery electronic score. The stereoscopic animation was created entirely in Cinema 4D and After Effects. A full credit list is available on its Vimeo page.
