See Moonshine – the inner life of DreamWorks artists

Artists don’t just stop making art when they leave the studio, and last year, DreamWorks published Moonshine: DreamWorks Artists… After Dark! – a collection of 49 of its staff members’ personal work – to prove it.

Now DreamWorks animator Alexis Wanneroy has released a short taking the concept a stage further.

The five-minute documentary, also called Moonshine, shows six DreamWorks staff doing their ‘other’ work, creating sketches and drawings for reference, for pleasure, or simply to fill time.

DreamWorks boss Jeffrey Katzenberg even makes a cameo, talking about his love for Paris’ Musée d’Orsay.

It’s a nice insight into a side of studio life you don’t often get to see – and a real treat if, like us, you just enjoy looking at other people’s sketchbooks.
