Preview: the fall’s 10 biggest VFX movies

DreamWorks’ Real Steel heads AWN’s fall VFX movie preview.

Animation World Network has posted an interesting run-down of the season’s 10 biggest visual effects movies (actually, they cheat and squeeze in 11).

As you’d expect, most of the list is standard blockbuster fare from Roland-Emmerich-does-Shakespeare (Anonymous) to DreamWorks’ Rocky-meets-Transformers robot beat-’em-up Real Steel.

There are a few twists, in the shape of Brad Bird’s first live-action movie, Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol, and Martin Scorsese’s first kids’ movie, Hugo.

What really caught our attention, though, was the speculation that the next Twilight movie would feature “the first major visual effects enhanced sex scene”. Mmm.
