Even though the updates were probably the most impressive than in any other version, no mograph tools were updated, and R13 is the biggest step C4D has ever made to be used in feature film work.

They call it “Cinema 4D” and don’t offer a reliable and modern approach to render particles or other volumetric effects. That’s why C4D’s cinematic references are always only related to BodyPaint. For VFX artists, this tool became useless, outdated and overpriced and Maxon should better call it “MoGraph 13″. For motion artists, on the other hand, it’s surely a valuable and easy-to-use software.
