Blender gets cool new retopology add-on

Developer Eclectiel has released a cool new sketch modelling and retopology add-on for Blender.

Bsurfaces enables users to build up regular all-quad meshes from freehand strokes, loose edges or Bezier curves, making modelling and retopo work fast and easy.

BlenderNation has a thorough review (link below) that goes into a lot more detail than we can here, and we’d encourage you to check out at least part of the 35-minute demo video above: it’s one of those tools you just itch to use after seeing it in action.

Bsurfaces currently costs $39, but Eclectiel ultimately aims to release the software for free under a GPL licence. Version 0.9 of the software is already built into Blender.
