Eye candy: the Brave teaser

Pixar has posted the trailer for Brave, on the whole lending ammunition to those who believe the studio is at its best making new movies, not sequels to Cars or prequels to Monsters, Inc.

There isn’t a lot of character work on show, but the environments look lovely. And for those of us on the receiving end of movies like Braveheart and Robin Hood, it’s nice to see a largely Scottish cast, rather than leaving Hollywood stars to voice the lead roles as Irish Australians who once visited Glasgow on holiday.

Brave itself is due for release in August 2012.
