Eye candy: Loom

If you didn’t catch Loom at a festival last year, you can now watch it in full on Vimeo.

The short, which won major prizes at Siggraph, the VES Awards and the VIEW conference last year, was created by Polynoid: directorial trio Jan Bitzer, Ilija Brunck and Csaba Letay.

Technically speaking, we’d say it’s the most impressive student short we’ve ever seen (although, in fairness, few student teams get the opportunity to take time out to work at Weta in the middle of production).

Probably not a link to click if you suffer from a fear of spiders, though.
