Irish animator Ruairi Robinson has made a career out of making expertly creepy films, beginning with his Oscar-nominated short Fifty Percent Grey.
His latest work, the teaser for the film Blinky, which stars Where The Wild Things Are’s Max Records, continues in a similar vein, featuring as it does a boy and his “new best friend” – a smiling droid which resembles nothing so much as a kind of razor-toothed R2-D2.
