This idea SUX. He beat it to death. There are so many storylines just from books alone that would be great on the big screen. Why do this? It really is the dumbest idea. What a waste of time and money.

I happened to see the opening 5 minutes of “A New Hope” in 3d a few years ago now. It was a proof of concept for the 3d conversion. Imagine trying to find the edges of squatting soldiers firing lasers down the hallway when they’re covered in smoke, yeah, it wasn’t pretty. Probably why its taking so long for 4-6 to come out.

George Lucas should simply scrap the whole 3d re-release of his starwars movies and focus on a totally new project. How many times is he going to re-edit his movies again and again. He should focus on creating a whole new Star wars movie. I am a big Star Warts fan and have a lot of the games and comics, but it is time to bury the story of Anakin a.k.a. Darth Vader. Besides the whole Jedi and Sith conflict has happened for milliennia, way before Anakin. Why not do a new story about Xendor – and the Great Schism, or Darth Bane – The creator of the Rule of Two, or Old Republic which I am sorry to say, the battles in the cinematic trailers look much better than the ones in the movies. The whole re-release thing just gets boring.
What’s next a 4d re-release. yawwwwwwn.
