Digimation Dramatically Lowers Price of The Archive Model Library
New pricing makes world’s largest collection of 3D content affordable to all 3D users

ORLANDO – September 1, 2010 – Digimation® today announced that it has dramatically reduced the pricing of its 3D model collections; The Archive™ and Model Bank Library™.  The Archive Platinum Edition which includes more than 10,000 models and was formerly priced at $2,995 will now sell for $299.  The Archive Titanium Edition which includes more than 16,500 models and formerly sold for $4,995 is now priced at $599.  The Model Bank Library which includes 1,200 models and was formerly priced at $999 has been reduced to $199.

The Archive is the world’s largest single collection of 3D content and represents hundreds of thousands of man-hours in development.  It features more than 16,500 high-quality models across a wide range of subject matter including more than a thousand digitized vehicles, detailed human anatomy derived from medical scans, architectural landmarks, military vehicles, aircraft, 3D geography, characters, animals, and much more.

“Quality content drives 3D production,” states Digimation president, David Avgikos.  “For twenty years our models have been used in numerous movies, commercials, and video games.  The issue was that not everyone who wanted to use our libraries could afford them.  With this announcement Digimation eliminates pricing as a barrier and makes our vast collection of 3D content accessible to more people than ever before.”

“The Archive from Digimation allows us to have high quality art up and running quickly and efficiently,” said Shayne Herrera, Art Development Director for Cryptic Studios.  “The quality of each asset is incredible; each model is detailed and beautifully constructed.  Deciding to use Digimation products is one of the easiest decisions I have made as an Art Director.”

“When we begin a project, whether it be for a feature film or a game cinematic, the first step we take is to browse through The Archive by Digimation to see if there are any relevant models that correspond with the needs of the project,” said Pixel Liberation Front’s Executive Producer, Sean Cushing.  “In almost every case, The Archive gives us an incredible advantage because without fail it contains the models that we need to get started.  The Digimation Archive is one of the best investments that we have made as a company.”
