FF is such a landmark these days it’s hard not to, in some way, be inspiration. Enslaved to me looks to be much grittier and less ornamental in visual direction than FF XIII. In terms of story I cannot compare since i haven’t played FFIII…yet but i can imagine is vastly different as it was inspired by the age old Journey to the West.

My first impression of this game was that it’s trying to be Final Fantasy XIII (action version lol). I think they were heavily inspired by the backgrounds (Grand Pulse), characters design (Vanille & Fang with the fur) and story. Not that that’s bad thing just give credit where credit’s due.
