Some combination of everything. They are all for different things so treating them all the same is a huge mistake. I use RSS in google reader to make sure I don’t miss anything on a website I love. Twitter/Facebook is lighter and easier and more fun and I prefer it to RSS when it’s not abused, just friendly personal updates are the best. Posting the top articles is fine, when people post every article it makes peoples twitter feed a little noisy and a lot of people will stop following you.

It’s no doubt what RSS did at the time for podcasts was amazing, but now it’s seen as a little outdated. The future is quick light fun services where you just ‘follow’ or ‘like’ people who are genuinely interesting.
