Alienware M11x video review

Tuesday, April 13th, 2010 | Posted by Matt McCorkell

The recent iPad release has led to a lot of discussions and occasionally disagreements as to what will be the best new computer for entertainment artists. Will everyone be fine with carrying their portfolio in the new iPad while occasionally using it to sketch ideas or painting in one of the many downloadable apps aimed at artists or will PC companies take note and produce a smaller more powerful PC for 3D junkies to test their latest mod of UT3 on? HotHardware came out with their review of the Alienware M11x. It’s small, light and powerful (not to mention cheap). But its still not a tablet. So which one will you buy: The low power but highly interactive iPad or the high-powered no touchscreen M11x?

What is frustrating is the lack good wacom tablet technology in a tablet form factor with the speed and processing needed for apps like zbrush, max, maya, and mudbox. There are machines that have some elements but the built quality is weak, or the features are weak.

Not buying the M11x because it doesn’t have a touchscreen is like not buying a BMW because it doesn’t have a fleshlight
