Gnomon School of Visual Effects is proud to be hosting several of the artists responsible for the ground breaking film Avatar! This full day event will cover design and technology with a wide array of never before scene artwork, shot breakdowns and Q&A. This event is free but seats are limited so RSVP now.
The Design of Avatar: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
Topics covered during the Design portion will include the design of various elements of Avatar, including characters, creatures, vehicles, props, sets and the world of Pandora.

The Technology of Avatar: 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Presenters will discuss the technology used in creating Avatar. Topics will include motion capture and animation and integration techniques, real-time virtual filmmaking, and live action/augmented reality integration. Each presenter will cover their responsibilities and show behind the scenes footage related to their work.
