Getting Started with Unreal Development Kit

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010 | Posted by Matt McCorkell | 5 comments

Check out this great video tutorial from Waylon Brinck’s on level design in Unreal UDK.

You know you always wanted to build your own games….but then you opened up that developer app and stared blankly at a bunch of buttons that made no sense whatsoever. Fear not Waylon Brinck’s tutorials walk you through the process of good level design. That means once you finally finish building the level it should have all the important necessities, and your player wont spawn inside a box he cant get out of.  If building cool arenas where “your friends can go forth and frolic with rocket launchers” appeals to you check out the complete tutorial set Intro to the Unreal Development Kit.

Only real problem I have with this map is you can’t work on word done on unreal editor on it and visa versa. For my intro to level design class the first program we used was unreal editor, and we were told about developer kit, but we were also told we can import projects into it.
