ZBrush sets you free from evil UVs

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010 | Posted by Matt McCorkell | 3 comments

Pixologic just released a new plugin designed to save you from horror of laying out UVs. Now you can paint or use ambient occlusion to suggest seam location. Personally I think this should win the plugin award for 3d software users, but check it out for yourselves and let us know what you think!

For more on Pixologic’s UVMaster check out there feature announcement here.

zb is not setting me free from UVs, In fact it still uses a UV and one that wastes a lot of space at that. If you want to be free from UVs look at Disney’s Ptex technology currently available in 3D-Coat, but available for any other software maker, like pixologic, to incorporate if they like.
